Nokia N95 8GB – still as popular as ever!

Still one of the most successful of Nokia’s phones, the N95 8 GB does everything the original N95 does, only better. Key differences include a larger screen and extended battery life.

At its core, the Nokia N95 8GB includes GPS satellite navigation, a five megapixel camera with auto focus, 3G video calling, Wi-Fi internet connection, and ultra-fast HSDPA data transfer. And that is just the beginning.

Physically, the Nokia N95 8 GB is a bulky phone that weighs about 120 grams; however, with a phone of this type, size isn’t a primary issue for buyers. The screen takes up most of the front, with a 2.6 inch display of 16 million colours featuring ambient light detection which is used to control brightness in differing lighting conditions. Located beneath it are the navigation keys, which are of traditional Nokia arrangement and functionality.

The camera is quite impressive. At 5 megapixels, it features Carl-Zeiss optics and a Tessar lens for sharp, vividly coloured photographs. What is missing is optical zoom, but there is auto focus, flash, and that wonderful lens. The video camera is quite nice as well, with VGA recording resolution at up to 30 frames per second with stereo audio. A second, front-facing camera enables video calling.

Other features include a music player, stereo FM radio, integrated hands-free speaker, and the best connectivity you could ask for. The only thing missing is expandable memory.

While it has been on the market for awhile, the Nokia N95 8 GB is still considered a great phone. It’s available via SIM-free deals.
