Nokia 6700 Review

The 5-megapixel camera in the Nokia 6700 separates it from its predecessor, the Nokia 6500. The 6700 basically the same size as its predecessor, but slightly wider and heavier. Its classical design has a touch of elegance, which is on a par with its competitors.

The keypad works well with the T9 predictive platform and the 2.2inch screen has a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels, with 16 million colours. The Nokia 6700 also features autofocus and LED flash, both of which exceed the standard for its closest rivals. Video calls are also supported.

There is a media player that supports several formats, such as AAC and MP3. With its RDS, you can see which FM radio station you are going to as you switch from one station to another. Unfortunately, the Nokia 6700 has no 0.5mm audio jack, though stereo headphones are included in the package or you can upgrade to a Bluetooth stereo handset.

The Nokia 6700 has a longer battery life than that of the 6500, thanks to 960 mAh that extends standby time by 50%. Unfortunately, the 6700 has inherited a number of problems seen in its predecessor. Some Nokia 6700 users have complained about bugs leading to firmware errors, including freezing and switching off. Despite its solid build, there have also been complaints about fragile screens.

The Nokia 6700 comes with 170MB built-in memory, enough for storing 40 MP3 titles. There is also a slot for a 8GB microSD card.
