Motorola Dext Comparison
The Motorola Dext is an Android smart phone with social networking features, a sensitive touchscreen and a reasonable QWERTY keyboard. If you have to keep up with the goings-on on Twitter and Facebook, and don’t mind the handset looking a bit dated, then this is the phone for you.
But if you want to compare mobile phones before making a decision then other similar devices are the Apple iPhone 3GS, the HTC Legend and the Google Nexus One. The iPhone 3GS is an upgrade on the 3G but there’s not a whole lot of difference to justify the difference in price.
The Legend is quick and simple to use and its lower cost might be more suitable to your budget.
The Nexus One runs on Google’s Android operating system and zooms along at a fantastic pace, and of course you can download oodles of applications, most of them free.
The Motorola Dext only comes in black, has six hours talk time and 320 hours stand-by time. It is exclusively an Orange contract mobile phone.
At the moment, you can take a 24-month contract and the Dext handset is free, and for £25 a month you get 400 minutes and 300 texts on the Racoon 25 tariff. There’s also free evening and weekend mobile internet for two months.
Or there’s an 18-month contract at £35 a month that offers 600 minutes of calls and 500 texts and the handset. There’s also a free 4GB iPod shuffle.
There are no current pay as you go deals for the Motorola Dext.
