The Motorola Atrix 4G is one of the latest Motorola mobile phones. It is a top of the range device with the most up to date art hardware, featuring a 1 GHz nVidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor and 1GB of DDR2 RAM. It features several accessories that will turn it into a personal computer that fits in your pocket.

The Atrix 4G comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread as the standard operating system. This will enable the user to access hundreds of thousands of free or very reasonably priced apps, which are available on the Android Marketplace. Virtually all of these run at a good speed, due mainly to the phone’s dual core technology and Gingerbread’s efficiency.

There are some interesting accessories available for the Motorola Atrix 4G. One of these is a very light and small laptop that uses the phone as its brain, the other is an HD dock that lets you connect your Atrix to an HDTV and use a USB keyboard and mouse for input. Both of these accessories show that it will not be long before computers start to be replaced by smartphones. These accessories are both very worthwhile investments for someone wishing to access their data at all times, whether it is music and movies or spreadsheets and text documents.

Overall, the Motorola Atrix 4G is a very powerful and innovative smartphone that gives you the power of a PC in your pocket due to its cutting edge technology and high end features.

The Motorola Atrix is an Android smartphone powered by a dual-core processor, and is the first Motorola phone to have these specifications. It has a lot of functionality and is aimed at the high end of the current market.

The Atrix comes with fingerprint technology. On its initial setup you have it so you can use both left and right index fingers. Unlocking the phone is then achieved through swiping an index finger on the phone. The screen is 4 inches, has a crisp and sharp definition, and is also highly responsive. Typing and correcting mistakes is made easier by this capability.

The qHD screen provides good detail on web pages and images. The Zinio app allows you to download magazines and even fully zoomed out words remain legible. Browsing the internet is easy due to the responsiveness of the screen.

The phone is equipped with a GPS device and Google Maps, so you can use it is a sat nav. There is a good 5 megapixel camera available, which is also capable of shooting HD video. It has all the kinds of connectivity you could wish for, such as Wi-Fi and DNLA. It comes with 16GB of internal memory, enabling you to take lots of pictures and cope with the memory demands of various apps easily.

At the moment you can get some good Motorola Atrix deals from Orange. Battery life is good for this type of Android phone and you will be able to get over a day’s use from one full charge.

The Motorola Atrix is the latest offering from a resurgent company hoping to expand on a niche for high-end smartphones. Simply put, the Motorola Atrix has it all; a huge 4-inch screen, 1GB RAM, a 5-megapixel camera and 16GB internal memory with a MicroSD™ slot which will support an additional 32GB. Even better, Motorola decided to introduce fingerprint recognition technology to the Motorola Atrix. When the phone is first removed from the box the owner is asked to press their finger on the screen three times to get a reading. From then on the phone can be unlocked via the biometric fingerprint reader, providing a high-tech security measure.

As is the norm in today’s smartphone world, the Atrix is seamlessly integrated with the usual social media applications (Facebook, MySpace and Twitter) and the highly customisable interface of the phone means the consumer is guaranteed to get a truly unique experience. Rarely on a mobile phone is a battery seen larger than 1500mAh, however, Motorola has installed the Atrix with the world’s most powerful battery, at a massive 1930mAh. Many Android phones have been criticised for their poor battery life although with such a large battery, the Atrix surely will not be one of them.

On the downside, the Motorola Atrix only comes equipped with version 2.2 of Android’s operating system, although Motorola promise 2.3 will arrive late into 2011. This, however, is a minor flaw in what can be considered one of the best smartphones on the market.

Motorola has made a strong showing in the smartphone market, introducing a number of impressive mobile devices that consumers have eagerly purchased. Droid has undoubtedly become one of Motorola’s most popular smartphone lines. In the face of stiff competition from Apple’s iPhone, the Droid has persevered to become a force of its own in the mobile phone market. The Droid X has become extremely popular and has brought interesting innovations to the mobile phone field. The entire Droid line, old and new, remains among the top picks of consumers.

In addition to Droids, there are several other types of Motorola mobile phones. The Motorola Flipout is a square-shaped phone with a flip-out mechanism that reveals a full keyboard for easy messaging. The five-row QWERTY keyboard makes messaging extremely simple. The Flipout is a great phone for people who need to do a lot of messaging or who just prefer to have a keyboard on their mobiles. The phone also has many other features besides messaging that make it an all-around solid device.

Another Motorola smartphone model is known as the Backflip. This device is another example of a small phone with a prominent keyboard. Like the Flipout, the Backflip rotates out to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard that makes typing a breeze to execute. The Backflip comes with some additional features as well. It can stream all of a user’s messages, posts, tweets, pictures, and contacts directly to him or her. This makes keeping up to date on news and social media an effortless process.

The Motorola Atrix received a lot of buzz and praise when it first came out. It is still a hot phone among consumers. Its innovative ‘webtop’ feature has made it a popular option for tech lovers.

There are plenty of places where you can find Motorola Atrix deals. One such place is dealnews.com. The website regularly posts deals for tech gadgets, the Motorola Atrix among them. A current deal involves getting an Atrix for just £69, with free delivery. Sales tax and an activation fee made be added on. Still, this is a great deal for such a high-end smartphone.

Expansys is another website with deals on the Atrix and its accessories. The crucial multimedia desk dock is £33.99 through the website. The dock is necessary for those who want to make full use of the phone’s webtop feature. The dock can be a pricey add on after already buying the phone itself, so finding a deal on one is a great way to save money.

Another route to go when looking for deals is comparison sites. Phones Limited is a website that allows users to compare and contrast mobile phones side by side. It is possible to compare the Atrix against other Motorola phones like the Backflip, Defy or Flipout. Users can also compare the Atrix to phones by completely different companies like Google, BlackBerry and HTC. This not only helps consumers get deals, but also helps them get the perfect phone for their particular needs.

The Motorola Atrix is the perfect choice for those looking for an Android phone that has plenty to offer. With a 4 inch, high-definition display, the Motorola Atrix is an ideal choice for those who want a phone with an easy-to-use touch screen and a good quality display for photos and videos.

The Motorola Atrix offers a 5 megapixel camera and a video-call feature, enabling users to take decent quality pictures and easily stay in touch with friends and family. With 16 GB of memory, the Motorola Atrix offers plenty of space for photos, videos and apps. You can also choose from a wide variety of apps, including Facebook and Twitter from the Android Market. The phone’s microSD slot gives you the freedom of adding extra storage space for photos, videos and apps if you need it.

One of the main features of the Motorola Atrix is that it can be docked onto a laptop, which adds a keyboard and an 11.6 inch screen. In addition, the Motorola Atrix can also be used as a satellite navigation device or an alarm clock.

For those looking for a phone that is user-friendly with plenty of widgets, the Motorola Atrix is a great choice. You can easily customise the phone’s home screen, add your favourite widgets and link your contacts to your Google account. The phone also offers WiFi and 3G. The Motorola Atrix is one of the most powerful Motorola mobile phones available, allowing users to multitask and download files quickly.

Motorola mobile phones have much to offer those who need a smartphone and the Motorola Flipout is no exception. The phone folds up very small when the user has put the keypad away so it is ideal for a pocket or a small bag. The phone makes use of the Android 2.1 operating system and is equipped with a 3-megapixel camera that takes good quality images.

The phone has a very strong feel to it and as such seems sturdy enough to ensure it will not fall apart the first time it is dropped. Even though the phone is small, using the QWERTY keypad is easy. For those who prefer a virtual keypad there is one that appears on the screen every time the physical keypad is folded away. Users can switch from one to the other mid-message if required and also switch between portrait and landscape modes as required.

The camera is equipped with Kodak’s ‘Perfect Touch’ – an enhancement tool that will automatically adjust settings so that you can take the best possible picture. Effects can be added after the photo has been taken. Images can be added as backgrounds and easily uploaded to the internet.

For those who use their phones to listen to music there are no headphones included but there is a 3.5mm headphone jack. The sound quality of the media player on Motorola mobile phones is good and there is a software plug-in on this model that can search for the lyrics of the songs that you are listening to and display them on the screen.

What It Has

This Motorola mobile phone improves on the design of the original predecessor, the Milestone, while keeping all of the best features. This is one of the phones with Android and has touch screen capabilities. It has QWERTY keypads, runs on the 3G network and offers 720p HD video recording and playback. The specs of this particular phone are pretty commonplace for this handset review: 8GB memory, 1GHz processor, a microSD slot for expanding memory with a card, and a 5-megapixel camera that hasn’t really improved from the first incarnation of this new mobile phone. Motoblur is also one of the prominent features of this phone; got to love the amalgamation of social networking, messaging, contacts and e-mail accounts here. What is a mobile phone for if not to stay in touch, after all? The Webkit browser has flash functionality and uses the Android 2.2 feature that the handset runs on for a great experience.

What It Lacks

Not a lot changed from the Motorola mobile phone that preceded this one. The camera is the same, the screen is essentially the same, and though there are some changes to the QWERTY keyboard that make it overall easier to use, there’s nothing really significant here in terms of changes. The QWERTY slider has a more finished look to it than its other incarnations, though. This is a definitely plus, design-wise.

Conclusion

If you liked the Motorola Milestone, you’ll probably like this one. It’s a good phone and you can get some good mobile phone handset deals on this one if you look around. Good functionality, too.

Motorola mobile phones have introduced the Defy, claiming it to be ‘life-proof’. The handset is dust, water and scratchproof and the 3.7 inch touchscreen is made from scratchproof Gorilla Glass. The operating system is Android 2.1 and Motoblut, while connectivity is Wi-Fi and 3G. The phone has Swype as standard, so texting is quick and easy. The Motorola Defy does work in wet environments, but damp conditions reduce the responsiveness of the touchscreen.

The T-mobile Motorola Defy deal offers a free handset with 300 minutes and 300 texts on an 18-month contract for £25 per month. Bought as SIM-only, the Motorola Defy costs about £300.

The browser runs with Flash Lite for enhanced web browsing, but does not have full Flash functionality. Moto’s Crystal Talk Plus features two microphones to cut down background noise.

The Motorola Defy has impressive smart-phone functions, sharp display and appealing design. However, on the down side, the port covers are rubber, but this does improve the waterproof properties and protects the headphone jack and micro-USB port. The 5-megapixel camera could be much better. As the phone does not support Android 2.2 and its processor is weak, it is definitely an entry-level phone. The power button, used to wake up the screen from sleep mode, is flush with the rubber cover of the headphone jack and is hard to press.

This is the ideal phone for anyone who works in a dusty or wet environment, as it is the sturdiest Android phone available. It also has most of the Android-powered smartphone features you would expect, with a clear, sharp, display.

The Motorola Milestone has an overall industrial and boxy feel to it, but it does have a sturdy build, smooth sliding mechanisms for the QWERTY keyboard and the overall excellent quality Motorola mobile phones are known for.

The keyboard is tight, making typing and editing tough; however, there are worse keyboards on the market. The 3.7-inch HTC HD2 screen is one of the best yet seen on any mobile phone. It is nice and bright with incredibly vivid colours, making videos and photos look amazing. This 3G smartphone supports up to 16 million colours. The 854 x 480 resolutions on the crystal clear screen are also great when viewing web pages. Even when the user zooms in or out of a page, small text remains easily readable.

The Motorola Milestone made mobile phone news when they used capacitance technology in the screen, which means the phone supports the multi-touch pinch to zoom feature. The phone also features a music player that supports MP3, WMA, WAV, and eAAC+ formats. It also offers high quality MPEG-4, H263 and H264 video playing formats. The user can enjoy the 5-megapixel camera with built-in LED flash and auto focus and stabilizer. This phone also supports Wi-Fi, WLAN technology and has an array of features that include speaker calls and conference calling.

The phone measures 1.37 cm in depth by 6 cm wide and 11.58 cm in height, which is compact in size when you consider its 3.7-inch screen. It weighs 165g, which gives it the feel of the solid phone that it is. The sleek, black casing gives the phone a sophisticated and stylish look.
