The LG Secret is part of the range of LG mobile phones that are currently on the market and is made from a number of materials that do not normally feature on a mobile phone. The manufacturers have made use of carbon fibre, fake leather and tempered glass to give this handset a really unique look. The phone has a luxury feel and most users will be happy with the overall design and the robustness of the handset.

The phone is equipped with a five megapixel camera which can be used for both images and video, although there is no flash. There is a well designed keypad for easy typing. The screen can be used as a touch screen but only in a number of functions and is ideal for those who use their mobile for playing games. There is a built in music player but there is no 3.5mm headphone jack, even though it does come with an adaptor for headphones.

Those who have used other smartphones may find that this handset is a little basic, although there is plenty to keep the user occupied. The LG Secret is the subject of numerous mobile phone reviews which can be found on the internet if you want further information. This handset is available from mobile service providers free of charge if you opt for one of their fixed term contract mobile phones. These vary in length and cost so shopping around is advised to ensure that you get a good deal.

The LG GW520 is a new smart phone model designed around social networking, sending messages, and texting between friends. It offers an excellent balance between raw processing capabilities, excellent data rates, and ease of use for sending messages. This phone clearly has its niche, which it targets well.

What’s most noticeable about the LG GW520 is its full QWERTY keyboard. This is an excellent keyboard, having keys which are nicely spread apart and large enough to eliminate mistyping errors. The keyboard also carries a set of arrow keys, perfect for scrolling up and down a webpage or conversation. This keyboard combines with LG’s LiveSquare software, to create an ideal instant messaging device, combining a wide variety of protocols and programs into one simple system.

While the software may be adequate, and the GW520’s keyboard may be suitable, this phone suffers from several key hardware issues that simply make the phone inferior to other models. First and foremost, the provided touch screen is simply not sensitive enough. The arrow keys quickly turn into a necessity rather than a convenience factor, simply because the touch screen cannot be effectively scrolled through. In addition, the 2.8 inch screen, while a decent size, is simply not large enough for some social networking apps. The face book application quickly begins to look cramped, and difficult to read.

The GW520 is an honest attempt, however due to the glaring faults of the product, it cannot be recommended. Hopefully LG takes this device as a lesson, and improves future QWERTY keyboard, touch screen smart phones. Please check mobile phone reviews for other LG products, or compare mobile phones from other manufacturers.

Marketed as a friendly, easy to use mobile phone, the LG GW260 InTouch Max is LG’s very first Android OS powered mobile device. All in all, the device is not targeted to the elite smart phone early adopters, but instead focuses on providing a cheaper smart phone solution for the middle to low end segments of the market. That is not to say that this is one of LG’s many cheap mobile phones, but instead a baseline phone, that provides most all the functionality of the high end models at a much more affordable price.

What’s most notable about the GW620 is the presence of both a touch screen and a full QWERTY keyboard. As many smart phones have chosen to isolate the keyboard user, this phone offers both, with tactile and responsive buttons all across the face of the unit. While it goes without saying, access to the android marketplace is an excellent feature that LG phones have been missing for some time. Finally, the phone boasts a very impressive 10 hour talk time battery life on a full charge, something completely unheard of for most of the latest mobile phones on the market.

While the processing power may not be the best on the market, and the phone may take a bit of time to initially boot up, the LG GW260 InTouch Max is an excellent handset for a novice smart phone user. LG sought to make a friendly phone, and it’s safe to say that they have succeeded.

The LG Pop, while most notable for its small size and budget price, still manages to sneak in a few extra features and useful tools along the way. Among the smallest LG mobile phones available, the LG Pop still manages to support a 3 inch screen. A very slim unit, this piece of hardware is very portable, yet still very solid. At first glance, this phone seems nothing more than a basic touch screen phone with a focus on size and portability.

Upon initial inspection the first thing noticed by most is the how compact the LG Pop really is. With a face measuring less than 4 inches, the screen simply covers the face o the unit, and is clearly the central idea behind the device. This display responds well to touch, but is no replacement for a full QWERTY keyboard. It’s a small, inexpensive mobile phone with a large touch screen, and for those wanting nothing more, it’s an excellent choice simply for these merits alone.

With such a focus on the display size, there seems to be little focus on high data transfer rates, to support the web multimedia this device is supposed to deliver. In addition, it seems battery life has fallen by the wayside too, with just 200 minutes of talk time being made available on a single charge. The LG Pop is by no means a bad phone; however it simply falls short in a few basic areas that smart phones should excel in. Reviews of other new mobile phones may be necessary if you want additional features.

The LG KS360 is a phone aimed at the younger market; it comes in blue and pink, although the pink option which is exclusive to Orange features a slide out QWERTY keyboard and social networking functions.

LG opted for a slide out QWERTY keyboard rather than a resistive touchscreen on the KS360 but typing on it is difficult as the keys are fairly cramped together. The handset does have a limited touchscreen capacity but it can only be used when the hard keyboard is hidden, and can only be used to type phone numbers making the decision to include it a bit pointless.

The camera is 2-megapixel and you have the option to shoot still pictures or videos. The quality is quite good but the handset does not have a built in flash. An annoying detail on the front panel is that when you press the camera shortcut button, you then have a further option to select camera or video. This would obviously ruin one of those picture perfect moments when you have just seconds to shoot the picture.

The 2.4-inch screen is a decent size but wasted by overlarge fonts and menu bars. The battery life of the handset is not bad with up to five hours of talk time and up to 444 hours standby time.

The handset does not come with a 3.5mm headphone jack and the sound quality through the earphones that come with the phone is awful.

For similar phones, check out Nokia, either the 5310 or the 6300, as a comparison.

The LG Arena KM900 has a lot to like about it but if you’re a mobile telephone expert who always has to be glued to your phone, you’ll find this handset fiddly and irritating.

There’s lots of plus factors with this phone. It’s got 8GB of memory, a 5-megapixel camera and a fabulous new interface. It looks good, sleek and shiny with rounded curves. The makers have added a 3-inch display that adds a distinct sharpness to the colours that is noticeable when watching video clips and films on it. The sound quality is excellent with the Dolby mobile surround making a huge difference, and you are able to plug your own headphones into the 3.5mm headphone jack.

Pictures taken using the 5-megapixel camera in daylight hours are good and ones shot at close range in low light are ok. The LED photo light is bright but obviously not as bright as phone-cameras with a xenon flash.

The Arena’s interface is awkward to use and you might find that it takes a bit of time to figure out how it works at first. The interface is advertised as being cube-like but the cube does not move up or down, the screens only move from side to side. The handset does not feel as instinctive as the iPhone, which it will be judged against.

If you have left the phone inactive for more than a minute you have to press the power button, which is really annoying.

The LG GW520 is a slide phone with a touch screen. One of the best features of the LG GW520 is the slide keyboard. The keys are spread evenly to reduce the possibility of typing incorrectly. The arrow keys are a useful feature for scrolling through messages.

The touch screen is not as sensitive as that of some other models, but the phone features Livesquare which is accessed from the main screen. This displays contacts as avatars. The home screen can be personalised so you can easily access the functions that you use the most, such as email or the alarm clock.

The phone has a three megapixel camera but viewing on the phone is not easy as the screen is only 2.8 inches, which may seem cramped for internet viewing.

There are a number of features of the phone which do not stand up well against similar types of handsets. The keyboard can be slow to start and the quality of the pictures taken using the camera is not the best. The phone also does not allow the addition of extra applications meaning the Facebook application cannot be changed for Twitter or another social networking connection.

This limits the market somewhat for the phone, as does its inability to run applications in the background. Whatever is being used must be kept open which limits the usage of the phone.

The LG GW520 falls into the mid-price range but for a handset with such limited usage buyers may be better off with a lower priced mobile phone.

The LG Smart GC900 reviews indicate that this is a massively upgraded version of the original LG Viewty mobile phone. The upgraded features include a high-resolution 3 inch touch screen, with an S-class 3D user interface, an excellent 8-megapixel camera with auto-focus and a good quality lens. The multiplayer system is good quality and has an FM radio, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and HSPDA.

The Viewty Smart is well designed and its lightweight, slim body, with bevelled edges give it a completely modern look. The capacitivity of the screen is one of the most sensitive around and very responsive to the touch.

LG has included a quality camera with this phone as well, which benefits from not only eight megapixels but also the all important quality lens. It is simple to operate and like the original Viewty model has a slow motion feature with the video. Once you have decided on your shots they are easy and readily available to upload to YouTube or whatever social network you subscribe to.

The GC900 has a pretty decent, 1.5GB memory, and a microSB card slot can take a further 32GB if required. The battery is reasonable but heavy users will need regular charging of the unit and the camera could benefit from an LED flash.

Altogether the LG Viewty Smart is a stylish modern looking, slim touchphone, with excellent features, a good camera and is a reasonable all round mobile phone. There are some areas of concern but if you want a solid touchscreen with a quality camera the Smart certainly provides that.

LG mobile phones have a generally excellent reputation, which makes the release of the very disappointing LG GW520 puzzling. It’s a touchscreen phone that aims to be many things, but unfortunately does none of them well.

About the only thing the GW520 has going for it is a pull out QWERTY keyboard that’s excellent to use, although sometimes sluggish in response. However, that’s let down by a surprisingly small screen, just 2.8”, not enough to compete in this market.

The phone does have auto-predict for numbers. That can be useful, although most people will have frequently-called numbers stored in their contacts. Those contacts appear on Livesquare, accessed by swiping the home screen, and are represented by avatars – a sweet idea, since they’re grouped in a park, but overly cute for most adults.

Anyone wanting to access Facebook regularly will enjoy the Facebook app that’s situated on the home screen, but those wanting other social networks will be aggravated, as it’s impossible to add apps, so forget MySpace or Twitter.

There’s also a Push email app, but it needs to be constantly in the foreground to work, so it’s actually not a great deal of use, and setting up other email, even where possible, is a very convoluted process, and more than most people will want to do.

It’s a pity that LG has done so little to make this phone very useful and it has been widely slated in mobile phone reviews. Yes, it’s mid-priced, but that’s not an excuse for a less than average handset.
